This project is a series of three field guides exploring traditional Vietnamese fashion through research, illustration, and abstraction. The first guide introduces the history and cultural significance of key garments in a manuscript format, while the second presents ten pieces through detailed illustrations and brief descriptions. The third guide shifts into a more experimental approach, deconstructing these garments into abstract compositions that highlight their patterns and forms. Together, the series moves from informative to interpretive, offering both an educational and visual exploration of Vietnamese dress.
