Process

I approached this project in a group of four by researching the ways that we can make construction more sustainable, as well as the ways people around the world have already been striving to accomplish. We created a “beacon” structure that acts as a signal for each exhibition, an introduction panel structure that introduces our pillar of sustainability, and an interactive element that allow viewers to learn more about our chosen topic, construction and demolition.

We included models that are sized down 8x and focused on showcases “raw” materials like corrugated cardboard and raw wood, which supports our theme of sustainable construction, diminishing the act of over-constructing and wasting materials.

Works

This project was to create a mobile exhibit concept based on the three pillars of sustainability: environmental, social, and economic. This branding targets the environmental pillar, specifically the theme of construction and demolition that we personally chose. The goal was to bring awareness to the sustainability of construction in a mobile exhibit format.
