I approached this project by researching various skills aquarium beginners may struggle in, and found innovative solutions for each problems including identifying specific breeds and what types of environments, aquatic life, and other species are compatible with, managing a tank, and common knowledge about each species. Each graphic is digitally illustrated and incorporates fun and bright colors that many other competing mobile applications fail to have which make the user interface bare.
Process
This project was to create an app concept based on personal choice. The concept of this app was to assist users in being able to find the compatibility between fish species with other breeds, as well as its compatibility with different environments and aquatic plants. The four main components of the app is to showcase an aquarium simulation that can be edited to have the same environment as tanks from home to calculate the overall compatibility of the entire system, showcase an index of searchable species that inform the user of useful information, a camera that is able to scan breeds and identify which classification of aquatic life, and finally, the compatibility checker.
