This project is a Type Con convention concept centered on Emigre Type Foundry, developed as a cohesive branding system that reflects its experimental approach to typography. It includes a primary event poster, a detailed schedule, and supporting materials that extend the identity across multiple touch points. Together, these pieces create a unified visual system that both celebrates and reinterprets Emigre’s influence on contemporary design culture.

I approached this project by researching Emigre as a type foundry and the type of works the foundry creates, mainly focusing on the many series of magazines and fonts they have curated. I noticed their bold colors and their unique way of layering type with graphics, which I ended up communicating through the system I curated for Emigre. I also wanted to feature the magazine cover arts through masking in the logo that is shown through the entire network.
In my system, I created temporary tattoos, a custom made hat, badges for speakers as well as faculty, and a schedule that showcases the events of the convention, all embodying the brand throughout the entire system.
